MTB Mate
Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 July 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the MTB Mate mobile app and this website (together, “the Service”), provided by David Aguirre (“we”, “us”). By downloading, accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. The Service
MTB Mate helps you calculate suggested mountain-bike tire pressures and suspension settings, save and sync your setups, and — with Premium — get AI-generated tuning advice. The calculator works without an account; some features require you to sign in or subscribe.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.
3. Your account
Some features require an account, created through Google Sign-In. You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your device and Google account secure. Contact us at davagdroid@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Safety — please read
MTB Mate provides estimated starting points, not professional or safety advice. Tire pressures, suspension settings and AI suggestions are calculated estimates and may not suit your exact equipment, riding conditions or ability.
Always stay within the limits published by the manufacturers of your tires, rims, wheels, fork and shock. Inspect your equipment, and when in doubt consult a qualified bike mechanic or the manufacturer. Mountain biking carries inherent risks of serious injury. You are solely responsible for your own setup, equipment and safety, and for how you ride. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any injury, damage or loss resulting from your use of, or reliance on, the recommendations the Service provides.
In short: an estimated starting point — stay within your tire, rim and suspension manufacturers’ limits. Your setup is your responsibility.
5. AI tuning advice
The optional AI advisor generates suggestions automatically and can be wrong, incomplete or inappropriate for your setup. Treat it as a starting point only — never as a substitute for your own judgment or manufacturer guidance — and always keep within your components’ rated ranges.
6. Subscriptions and payments
MTB Mate offers optional Premium features through a subscription that is sold and billed by Google Play:
- Your subscription automatically renews for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You manage or cancel your subscription in your Google Play account settings — not inside the app.
- Payment is charged to your Google Play account. Prices are shown before purchase and may change, with notice before any renewal at a new price.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play under its policies; we don’t separately process payments or refunds.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you subscribe.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create (bikes, setups, rider profiles, and so on). You grant us a limited right to store, process and sync that content solely to operate the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You’re responsible for your content and for keeping your own backups where it matters to you.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- misuse, disrupt or overload the Service;
- attempt to access other users’ data or accounts;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or tamper with the app, except to the extent the law expressly allows;
- or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
9. Our intellectual property
The MTB Mate app, website, branding, and the calculation methods and content we provide are owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own non-commercial use. These Terms don’t transfer any of our intellectual property to you.
10. Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue parts of the Service at any time, and we may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “last updated” date above and highlight them in the app or on this page. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its recommendations will suit your needs. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any injury, property damage or loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service or its recommendations. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
13. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in Settings → Delete account, or at mtbmate.com/delete-account. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, you may also rely on mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live.
